Financial Assistance Through Jumpstart
Helping more kids get on the ice ⛸️
The Dunnville Skating Club believes that financial barriers should not prevent children from experiencing the benefits of skating.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities provides financial assistance to eligible families to help children participate in organized sport and recreation.
2026 Individual Child Grants are now open.
LEARN MORE & APPLY THROUGH JUMPSTART
How Does It Work?
1️⃣ Apply to Jumpstart
Parents or guardians can apply directly to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for an Individual Child Grant.
Jumpstart may provide up to $300 per child, per year toward eligible registration and equipment costs.
Funding is based on financial eligibility, local demand and available funding.
2️⃣ Register With Dunnville Skating Club
Choose your skating program and complete your registration through our online registration system.
Registration fees must be paid to Dunnville Skating Club at the time of registration.
Applying for Jumpstart does not reserve a program space or replace the registration process.
3️⃣ Approved? We'll Refund You!
Jumpstart sends approved funding directly to the registered sport organization.
If your application is approved and the Dunnville Skating Club receives Jumpstart funding for your skater, we will refund the approved amount to you.
For example, if Jumpstart approves $300 toward your skater's registration and DSC receives the $300 payment, we will refund $300 back to you.
Any registration costs not covered by Jumpstart remain the responsibility of the family.

A Few Important Things to Know
Jumpstart funding is administered and approved by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, not Dunnville Skating Club.
Funding is not guaranteed and is subject to eligibility, local demand and available funding.
Jumpstart advises families to apply before the program begins. Applications for programs that have already ended will not be considered.
Processing can also take approximately 6 to 8 weeks, so applying early is encouraged.
